continues a simulated trip to Mars carried out by the initiative Mars500, where several "astronauts" are isolated reproducing various aspects of this mission. On 2 February, the ESA announced that the "vehicle", installed at the Institute of Biomedical Problems in Moscow, "has already reached Mars after a virtual tour of 244 days. On 12 February, three participants of "land" on the Red Planet and made three starts exploration in a simulated Martian terrain. Three Russians, two Europeans and Chinese are inside facilities, monitored from the outside, trying to learn more about medical, psychological and technical aspects of a trip of this nature. They are locked and its communications with Earth simulate the delays that would exist in reality, carrying out tasks common to those of his fellow international space station, and performing maintenance, repairs, experiments and exercises. Participants have opened the hatch separating the "mother ship" of the model of the lander, and devote some time to transfer supplies and prepare the "separation and descent." Alexandr Smoleevskiy, Diego Urbina and Wang Yue made the virtual landing. On 14 February, two of them will be made Orlan space suits and come abroad. After two more EVAs, "take off" on 23 February. (
