Ballet Returns to Work on Space Station Robotic

The occupants of the international space station have been busy unloading the contents of recent arrivals reavituallamiento missions to the complex. Especially interesting has been the movement of supplies related to the Japanese vehicle Kounotori-2. Using the robotic arm Canadarm-2 and the arm of the Kibo module, Scott Kelly, Paolo Nespoli and Cady Coleman removed a platform of non-pressurized area of \u200b\u200bthe cargo ship, and moved outside of that Kibo. Then with the help of Canadian experts, we used the robot Dextre, which duplicates the functionality of an astronaut manipulative to access content that platform. First we took a spare called Flex Hose Rotary Coupler, which belongs to the cooling system of the station, and placed in an external workstation (Enhanced Orbital Replacement Unit Temporary Platform) for storage. Then the "hands" of the loose and grabbed Dextre called Cargo Container Transfer, which will remain there until the arrival of Discovery, which will bring the storage platform Express Logistics Carrier 4, final destination of CTC. In essence, this is the first official work of Dextre, after overcoming several technical problems and pass your functionality in December 2010. The same February 4, the robot with its cargo was returned to its resting position on the Destiny module. ( Photo: NASA TV )
