Cardizem And Grapefruit

A Progress Party Ship From Baikonur

The Kounotori-2 is not the only vehicle that carries supplies to the station in those days. Russia launched on 28 January a new Progress cargo ship (M-09M/41P) towards the ISS, loaded with fuel, spare parts, food and other materials. Liftoff occurred at 01:31 UTC, from Baikonur Cosmodrome by a Soyuz-U. After the customary period of about a couple of days, the Progress, which opened its solar arrays and antennas, will approach the Pirs module of the space station and will join him at the 2:39 UTC on 30 January. The place was left vacant when the Progress M-08M left him at 00:42 UTC 24 January, to burn in the atmosphere over the Pacific, at 5:16 UTC. The M-09m has a total of 2 ½ tons of supplies. Among them is a small satellite called ARISSat-1, 30 kg, which will be released by astronauts during a spacewalk next exit (16 February). This is an amateur radio satellite, sponsored by the American and Russian space agencies and organization Radio Amateur Satellite Corp. ( Photo: Energy )
