Tim replaces Steve Bowen Kopra

As suspected, the physical condition of the astronaut Tim Kopra, crashed while riding his bicycle, not allow you to recover in time for the Discovery shuttle flight, so that NASA has chosen to replace him. Since the agency does not train astronauts reserve a specific mission, it was decided that the tasks assigned to Kopra be divided between his shipmates, and their participation in two extravehicular activities provided is supplied by Steve Bowen. The latter, who flew to the space station on STS-132, that is, in the immediately preceding it is still fresh training for space walks (he is a veteran of five EVAs) and only need to catch up with the specifics of these activities. However, if the STS-133 mission had to be delayed further for any reason, and Kopra will recover in the meantime, the crew again. ( Photo: NASA )
